This chapter opens with a review of measurement in both the customary and metric systems-linear, capacity, and mass.  Elapsed time with problem solving is explored.  Perimeter and area of  polyhedrons and circles is covered extensively before moving to solving problems with irregular shapes.  In addition, volume and surface area are calculated.   Formulas are important to memorize for use within this chapter and on the state test for this grade level.
