In seventh grade students will extend the solving of equations and inequalities beyond whole numbers to include decimals, fractions, and integers.  Students will evaluate and write  algebraic expressions.  Then, they will write and solve both one-step and two-step equations by using inverse operations to isolate a variable.  Finally, they will extend their work with expressions and equations to graph, write, and solve inequalities.
